The popular BET comedy attracted major viewers with its first episode. In the second episode, tensions were running high with Melanie and Derwin. Melanie had originally told Derwin that his son, via Janay, is actually not his son, according to a DNA test. However, she finds out the DNA test was mixed up at the hospital. Janay arrives with the real results to tell Derwin the truth, before Melanie is able to. This causes a rift between the couple. Melanie has her bags packed and is about to move out, but Derwin stops her and sets some ground rules for the relationship. For now they seem to have slightly patched things up.
Meanwhile, Jason Pitts has gone on the air with the “Benched Sports Talk” show also featuring Chris Webber as its host. Jason dishes the dirt on his former teammates from the Sabers to the dismay of Webber. He’s later confronted by Malik over this. At a party after the talk show, Jason debuts his new rap song “Dips and Pitts,” but the crowd isn’t feeling it at all (see YouTube video below). It seems Mr. Pitts will have to find a new venture since being let go by the team.
Also in episode 2, Tasha and Kelly have patched things up in their feud. Kelly still has camera crews following her around for her new reality series. Tasha and her younger boyfriend, Danté, have a bit of a dispute over their relationship, but agree to continue with things. Also, “Tee-Tee” is trying to break free from the role of being Malik’s assistant, but Malik managed to irritate him and stole his Tee-Tee’s “life partner” from him, as viewers saw from the hot tub scene in the last episode.
As the hit show continues to attract millions of viewers, an article at Variety is questioning if this will create more shows in the similar mold. With all that said, “The Game” season 4, episode 3 promises to be another wild affair. The BET TV show stars Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall, Coby Bell and Brittany Daniel.
