Mary McDonough: ‘Implants Ruined my Life’

ACTRESS Mary McDonough claims breast implants ruined her life.
The star — who played Erin on the beloved ’70s TV drama The Waltons — secretly wrestled with drugs, depression and the debilitating disease lupus.
In her new memoir Lessons From the Mountain, Mary reveals how she suffered for years with blinding headaches, chronic fatigue, sore joints and terrible rashes from the illness, according to American tabloid the National Enquirer.
The 49-year-old says she believes that leaky silicone breast implants caused her disease.
McDonough says that she struggled to get acting jobs when CBS canceled The Waltons when she was still only 18.
“I kept hearing, ‘You’re losing this part or that part because you don’t have big boobs!’ So, I thought, ‘Well, I can get big boobs!’” he said.
