McCreery stuck to his roots and went full-out country, deciding to perform John Michael Montgomery’s “Letters From Home.”
Scotty’s voice sounded great and the song was the perfect choice for his fanbase.Tyler praised the song choice and said it was beautiful, Jennifer Lopez told him he was born to do country music (we concur!) and Randy Jackson, the toughest judge out of the three to please, also dug it.

Great Job just now with DR on CMA and awsome job all the way through the AI competitions. You were the greatest and my family’s and my favorite or pick to wind throughout the entire series of competition. You have a grand future ahead of you and many of the CMA’s to dominate I can assure you. I had not picked the runner up however she is awsome and more my style of music.
