Poor diet, harsh environmental conditions, lack of moisturizing, exposing your nails to chemical products and over exposure to water are some common causes of weak nails. There are natural ways to prevent your fingernails from breaking. Here are some tips on how to strengthen fingernails naturally.
- Make a mixture of lemon juice and argan oil in a small bowl. Whisk them thoroughly. Soak your fingers in this mixture for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Pat your hands dry. Avoid using soap to clean your hands. Repeat this procedure once a week for long and strong nails. Argan oil gives strength to the weak and easily breakable nails. It also strengthens the delicate skin at the root of nails and makes it smooth. Lemon juice naturally strengthens your nails and makes them unbreakable.
- Pour the warm water into a blender and cover with the lid. Remove the small circular cap in the blender lid and turn the blender on its lowest setting. While the blender is running, slowly pour the warm wax and oil mixture into the blender.
- Apply moisturizer to hands and nails several times a day, especially after hands have been in water, and again in the evening. Make sure to massage the moisturizer into the cuticles. The Mayo Clinic says rough, dry cuticles can cause hangnails, which rip at living tissue and can damage nails.
-Beat two egg yolks in a small bowl and whisk in 1/4 cup milk and 1 tablespoon honey. Dip your nails in this mixture for around 15-20 minutes and then rinse your hands with fresh water and pat dry your hands.
- Turn off the blender, and carefully spoon your natural hand cream into small jars with tight fitting lids. Allow the cream to cool completely before sealing with the lid.
- Apply nail polish. The Mayo Clinic says that applying a thin coat of nail polish may help nails maintain moisture. It give yours nail very attractive look.
