EMMA Watson is in talks to take on the role of Anastasia Steel in the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey.
The actress — best known for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movie franchise — is the hot favorite to be chosen by producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti, who have been put in charge of the movie version of E.L. James‘ erotic novels.
Watson is said to have the right looks for the part, combining a degree of innocence with the acting skills to portray the young graduate who gets swept into a world of sado-masochistic sex with a kinky billionaire, Christian Grey.
Others in the frame to play Anastasia are believed to be Elizabeth Olsen, Mila Kunis and Kristen Stewart.
Watson recently revealed she regards being able to use a washing machine as a “success”.
“Doing the ‘Potters’ was such a bubble and then having to figure out how to function in the real world has been a challenge,” she said.
“But it’s been the small successes for me. I know how to use a washing machine. I can cook. It’s worth it for me not to feel disconnected from everything, feeling like I’m in touch with people who do other things than acting or being in the entertainment industry.
