You have to admit that Sarah Jessica Parker is looking pretty fierce on this November cover of Elle. Love her or not-so love her, you still gave to admit that SJP really has the goods! That very sexy cut-out dress in Calvin Klein and the spectacular, almost tribal looking necklace is by House of Lavande, FYI. This cover story has also piqued our interest. It’s a “Women In Hollywood” section filled with stars like Emma Watson, Octavia Spencer and Elle Fanning, apart from Sarah Jessica talking about their experiences in the industry. All styled to the nines of course! Emma, for instance, talks about her Harry Potter history, stating knew, from the moment I read “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” that I was meant to play that role…I put one of the Potter films on the other night. And it was amazing to me that I had done all of that. I have to remind myself every now and then.” Octavia’s story is a juicy one, as she talks about standing up to a powerful producer in H-Town, revealing, “Early on I had to stand up to a producer – I won’t say who, but he is famous, famous. He dressed me down in a crowded office. I told him right there in front of a hundred people, ‘You don’t know me well enough to use that tone’…And then I ran to the bathroom and cried like a baby. But he never addressed me that way again. And he is known as a yeller.”
As for our cover celebrity, SJP brings up playing the character of “Carrie” on Sex And The City for so long. While wearing a gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress and Casadei heels, of course. She says she doesn’t want to repeat the same role in the future, with, “I don’t love the idea of playing another woman who loves fashion and is slightly flawed in New York City. I loved Carrie, and I don’t want to do the poor man’s version of her. And while those are often the lucrative things to do, it’s more reason to look in the other direction.” Apparently, there’s going to be a “Women in Hollywood” event mid-month too, so we’re going to keep our eyes peeled for that one.
