BRITNEY Spears would urge the 16-year-old version of herself to have more “fun”.

The Hold it Against Me hitmaker — who shot to fame as a teenager in 1998 with her debut single ..Baby one More Time — would tell herself to “embrace” life more and not take her career as seriously.

When asked if she would have any advice for her younger self, she told Britain’s Glamour magazine, “To have fun. I was having fun then, but I would stay true to that, you know?

“I’m still pretty much the same person I was when I started this, but in the beginning, I think I was fearful. So I’d say, just try to embrace moments more. To have a good time with life and don’t take it too seriously.”

The singer — who turns 30 in December – also added the iconic schoolgirl costume she wore in the video for her breakthrough single is her favourite outfit of her career, which has seen her dress in daring items such as a rubber catsuit, see-through sequinned dress and futuristic air hostess uniform.

“My all time favourite outfit? Probably the school uniform. I think because it was my first video I ever did and the first experience with everything. That’s in the Rock ‘n’ Roll hall of fame,” she said.
