The final four couples performed three routines each on Monday’s Dancing with the Stars. By the end of the night, one pair were in the lead with a perfect score for all three dances.

However, the episode kicked off with an imperfect – though energetic – jive.

Karina Smirnoff and partner Jacoby Jones – who judge Carrie Ann Inaba previously called “the number one entertainer of season 16″ – were told by judge Len Goodman that they showed improvement, but that “you got excited at times and lost it.”

Fellow judges Inaba and Bruno Tonioli also criticized their poor footwork in their first routine. The pair earned a 27 out of 30.

The low scores continued throughout the night for the lively duo, who earned two points for coming in last place in the cha cha relay and heard more criticism for their super-sized freestyle number.

“It was unique, but … I think it outshined you,” Inaba told the pair, who received another 27-point score. “I want you to be the star, but I feel like it got a little bit lost in the shuffle.”

Alexandra Raisman and Mark Ballas got raves from the judges with their samba, but only managed to score a 28 out of 30 for the routine, which Goodman called “sexy” and “fantastic,” and Tonioli said was “cleaner and slicker than ever.”

Coming in third place in the cha cha relay, they added three additional points to their score, and pulled out a 30 out of 30 for their futuristic freestyle that had Goodman saying, “I’m dubbing you Alexandra the great!”

Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough began with a fun, 30-point quickstep that Inaba praised for improvement in body contact and Tonioli said was “better than ever … it was really fantastic.”

Then they came in second place during the cha cha relay, and added four points to their score.

But it was their flawless, beautiful freestyle that left audience members – and Inaba – in tears.

“You just bared your soul on the dance floor and it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen,” Inaba said. Goodman gave the pair a standing ovation and said, “Good dancing engages the brain. Great dancing engages the heart.”

They earned a perfect 30 for the number, leaving them just one point shy of the top of the leader board, which is where Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy ended up for a night of all perfect scores.

Chmerkovskiy – whose bloody eye injury from earlier rehearsal was shown to the audience – didn’t let the mishap hurt his chances.

“That was eye-popping, show-stopping, jaw-dropping,” Goodman said of their samba.

Winning the cha cha relay, they added five more points to their score, and closed out the night with a perfect freestyle that included several different dance styles.

Said Inaba of Zendaya: “You’re classy, you’re sassy, you’re fun.”

There’s going to be some girl power on The X Factor this fall!

Kelly Rowland and pop sensation Paulina Rubio will join Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell at the judges table when the show returns, FOX announced Monday.

“It’s taken more than a decade, but I’m delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!),” Cowell said in a statement. “Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different.”

Rowland, 32, was a judge on the U.K. version of the show. “I am very excited to be reuniting with Simon Cowell and The X Factor family,” said Rowland in a statement. “It feels great to be able to take this journey here at home in the states!”

Latina pop sensation Rubio, 41, who has accumulated over 20 million album sales in a career spanning over three decades, said, “I can’t wait to find the next big music star here in America. I’m so thrilled to be part of the show as a judge. Simon, be careful what you wish for, let’s see if you are ready to handle me, empieza la fiesta, amigo!” That last part means “start the party, friend!”

Britney Spears and L.A. Reid left the reality series last season, and Khloe Kardashian‘s departure rounded out the shake-up.

Aspiring artists will meet the four-person panel when auditions begin on Tuesday in Charleston S.C.

Who’s going to take home the coveted mirror-ball trophy?

The top four couples on Dancing with the Stars – Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough, Alexandra Raisman and Mark Ballas, Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy, Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff – are hitting the ballroom one last time Monday night in hopes of earning high scores from judges and lots of votes from viewers to win the competition.

And the competition is fierce! Kellie and Zendaya have been clear frontrunners while Alexandra has also landed big scores and Jacoby has charmed the judges and picked up enough votes to make it to the finale.

The honeymoon is over – but they look as in love as ever!

Keira Knightley and her new husband, James Righton – who tied the knot May 4 in an intimate ceremony in Mazan, France – are back in London after their honeymoon in Corsica.

While away on the Mediterranean island, the couple enjoyed the sand, surf and sailing as well as each other’s company.

Knightley, 28, and Righton, a keyboardist for the London-based rock band the Klaxons, got engaged in May 2012, about a year after they were first spotted together in public.

They reportedly met after being introduced by fashion correspondent Alexa Chung.

Knightley has a number of movies in the works, including the Tom Clancy thriller, Jack Ryan, which also stars Chris Pine.

Clearly, Lauren Conrad’s dog prefers to cap off a ruff day at the office the same way you do: with a nice, relaxing bubble bath.

The fashion expert’s most recent canine addition, Fitz – whom she adopted last year – gets the spa treatment in a photo she shared on her blog.

But the bath isn’t just for Fitz’s enjoyment, explained the mom-of-two dogs, 27.

“[The dogs] have a walker who takes them for two hours a day just to make sure they get enough exercise, so Fitz comes home every day with a cloud of dirt around him. Literally, like every other night, this dog gets a bath because he is just the dirtiest dog,” she said.

“If you pat him on the back, a little puff of dirt comes up. It’s adorable until he’s on your light-colored sofa, and you’re like, ‘Nooo!’”

Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek died Monday in Rosenheim, Germany after a long battle with bile duct cancer, his rep confirms to PEOPLE. He was 74.

Manzarek is best known as a founding member of the classic rock band The Doors, along with Jim Morrison, John Densmore, Robby Krieger and the group’s charismatic (and controversial) frontman Jim Morrison.

The group formed after Manzarek met Morrison while studying film at UCLA in the early-’60s. Later that decade, they became a force on the Los Angeles music scene and helped define the sound of sixties rock. Among their indelible hits: “Break on Through to the Other Side,” “L.A. Woman,” and “Hello, I Love You.”

Following Morrison’s death in 1971, the group disbanded, but Manzarek continued to write and record music and wrote a memoir on his time with the band in 1998, titled Light My Fire: My Time with the Doors. His role as the shrewd, straight-laced member of the group was also immortalized in Oliver Stone’s 1991 movie The Doors.

At the time of his death, Manzarek was surrounded by his wife Dorothy and his brothers Rick and James.
