John Mayer Cops To Being An “Idiot” On Ellen, But Can We Get Past All His Bonehead Mayerisms?
Wow, John Mayer was remarkably contrite during his Ellen interview this week. The John Mayer who reflects wisely on his past seems like a totally different human being then the one who was embarrassing himself non-stop a few years ago. Ugh, does that mean we have to reevaluate our opinion of him? “It was a very strange time and it sort of rocketed me into adulthood. It was a violent crash into being an adult,” Mayer said of his numerous mistakes. “For a couple of years, it was just figuring it all out, and I’m glad I actually stayed out of the spotlight… It was like, ‘No, idiot. Go away and be 33 and 34 instead of 28 for the fourth year.’” We applaud John’s journey down the road to self-discovery, but we have to wonder: can we really get past all those amazingly dumb things he said in public? And do we haaaaaaave to? In case you’ve forgotten about John’s blunders, perhaps you’d care to remember…
- His thoughts on then-girlfriend Jessica Simpson: “Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me. It was like napalm, sexual napalm. Did you ever say, ‘I want to quit my life and just f—in’ snort you? If you charged me $10,000 to f— you, I would start selling all my s— just to keep f—ing you.’”
- His relationship with Taylor Swift: Allegedly inspired Taylor’s song “Dear John”, which contained the lyrics: “Don’t you think nineteen’s too young/ To be played/ By your dark, twisted games/ When I loved you so.” Somehow he also managed to enraged her mother.!
- “Your Body Is A Wonderland”: That entire song is just so sappy! Plus it’s burned forever on our brains! “Bubblegum tongue”? “Crawling toward the pillow case”? Yeesh.
- His comments to Playboy about his wiener: “My d— is sort of like a white supremacist. I’ve got a Benetton heart and a f—in’ David Duke c—. I’m going to start dating separately from my dick.”
- His profoundly creepy pick-up lines: According to country singer Jessie James, “He texted me throughout the entire night while I was at the hotel room, leaving messages like, ‘Let me tuck you in. I want to see you.’”
- That. Hat.
It’s going to take awhile for us to get back on board, John. We’re not ready to consider the fact you might not be a tool. Maybe you can start with the hat…and we can all go from there.

Sarah Michelle Gellar & Freddie Prinze, Jr.’s Zoo Pal
In a rare family sighting, Sarah Michelle Gellar and husband Freddie Prinze, Jr. were spotted with their adorable 2 1/2-year-old daughter Charlotte ‘Charlie‘ Grace at the Los Angeles Zoo last week (May 10). SMG dressed her blooming baby bump in a casual gray T-shirt, paired with skinny jeans and flats.
The family-of-three were joined by friends as they visited The Lair which inhabits a host of small animals. The group then took a ride on an extended golf cart before heading home.
SMG’s CW drama Ringer has not been renewed for a second season. The news hasn’t slowed down the expectant mama one bit. We recently saw the Buffy alum out and about with Charlie after ballet class.
The happy couple – wed for nearly 10 years – are currently expecting their second child. “She and Freddie are thrilled,” a friend revealed. “They’re amazing parents.”

Hank Baskett Carries His Cutie
So adorable!
Football pro Hank Baskett toted his 2-year-old son Hank Jr today as the pair were spotted leaving a doctor’s office in Los Angeles, California (May 15). Love those wild curls!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen little Hank or his mom Kendra Wilkinson. The former Girls Next Door star has been keeping busy these days working on her new reality show, Kendra on Top.
Despite her Playboy past, Kendra recently revealed that she has some body image insecurities, telling Life & Style, “My nose grew during pregnancy. My skin is something I’ve always been insecure with.” She went on to point out problems with her breasts, her behind and even her smile.
She says that her husband of almost 3 years helps to make her feel good about herself, though: “He makes me feel beautiful no matter what. He still thinks I’m beautiful.”

Sienna Miller Belts Her Bump
Mom-to-be Sienna Miller hit the town on Sunday night, putting in an appearance at Robert Pattinson‘s 26th birthday party at Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant at the famed Claridge’s hotel in London, England (May 13). Sienna’s fiance Tom Sturridge is close friends with the Twilight superstar.
The 30-year-old Factory Girl actress will no doubt be spending Mother’s Day in a different way next year, seeing as it will be her first with her new baby!
Sienna and Tom recently returned from a babymoon – “a pre-baby, last hurrah trip,” as she described it – to Portofino, Italy. The lovebirds were spotted strolling through the resort town hand-in-hand.
