After several years of women statute the show, the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards could be a night for the guys.
Kenny Chesney warranted the most nominations with nine, followed by Jason Aldean with six. Both are adult for hostess of the year. Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton are also nominated in that marquee category, with Taylor Swift the sole lady in the group. (Swift won final year, following back-to-back wins by Carrie Underwood.)
Paisley warranted 4 nominations in all, while Swift leads all women with three. Shelton and his mother Miranda Lambert any warranted two. Lady Antebellum is the heading organisation hopeful with 5 nominations. Eli Young Band, Toby Keith and Grace Potter any perceived 3 nominations.
In the race for masculine vocalist of the year, Chris Young joins Aldean, Chesney, Paisley and Shelton. For womanlike vocalist of the year, Swift, Lambert and Underwood are adult opposite Sara Evans and Martina McBride.
The nominees for strain of the year are: “Crazy Girl” by the Eli Young Band, “Home” by Dierks Bentley, “Just A Kiss” by Lady Antebellum, “Threaten Me With Heaven” by Vince Gill, and “You And Tequila” by Chesney featuring Grace Potter.

The 47th Annual ACM Awards will atmosphere Apr 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Shelton and Reba McEntire will co-host for the second true year.

A larger-than-life marriage and a whirlwind divorce: Kim Kardashian’s divorce could pass for the plot of a nation ballad.
And Wednesday night, it did just that.
As Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley took to the Bridgestone Arena theatre for Nashville’s biggest night at the Country Music Association Awards, the four-time hosts addressed Kardashian and Kris Humphries with a tongue-in-cheek tune.
Along with Emmy-winning Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet, the nation crooners sang, “I’m gonna love you forever.”
“Or 72 days,” Stonestreet chimed in. “Amen.”
Kardashian and Humphries weren’t the only integrate at the boundary of the hosts’ jokes. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw also took the theatre – in doll form.
“Do you think these dolls are anatomically correct?” Paisley asked Underwood. “There’s only one approach to find out – give me Faith!”
But it wasn’t just couples holding heat: Enter Hank Williams Jr., whose iconic football promo was pulled from ESPN final month after he compared President Obama to Adolf Hitler.
Williams assimilated Underwood and Paisley on theatre after the hosts poked fun at him with the lyrics: “Why the heck do you splash before an interview? Why do you fume before an interview?”
Miss Piggy Goes Country
Alongside country’s biggest names was a luminary in her own right: Miss Piggy.
The Muppet megastar stole a little of Underwood’s rumble – and sealed the nation thespian in her sauce room, she joked – to get some face time with Paisley.
“Make her leave,” Miss Piggy told Paisley when Underwood returned to the stage.
“You and me, we’re like bacon and eggs,” Paisley told Miss Piggy.
Even cocktail wonderboy Justin Bieber was going nation for Nashville’s biggest night – arrange of.
Taking a witty poke at the teen’s new paternity suit, nation maestro Little Jimmy Dickens channeled the baseball-cap rocking singer.
“Justin, this liaison has unequivocally aged you,” Underwood joked.
“Like a week ago, you had no wrinkles or liver spots.”

CARRIE Underwood doesn’t see herself as a celebrity.
The American Idol alum says she doesn’t have a Hollywood bone in her body.
“When I’m on stage, I feel like a performer, and I know people are looking at me and taking pictures and all that stuff, and they’re singing along,” she said.
“That part is wonderful, but I do live in Nashville. I live the most boring life away from what you see me on camera doing.
“I never go out to eat. I never do anything. I think that’s why I consider myself not a celebrity. I’m a normal person who sings on stage.
“[The majority] of the year … I’m a lover to my doggies, I’m a maid, [and] I clean the house.
“Me as Carrie the person wanders around in sweatpants. But when I have to look like Carrie Underwood, I look like this.”
Carrie recently admitted married life has its “challenges”.
The country singer married hockey player Mike Fisher last year and while she is very happy, she admits it’s not always easy.
“Married life is great. It comes with its own wonderfulness and challenges,” she said.
Carrie says one of the biggest problems came when Mike moved his stuff into her home after his transfer to The Nashville Predators from Canadian club Ottawa Senators.
“Well, we started out you know we got married. He went back to Canada. I went back to Nashville… then he got traded to Nashville,” she said.
“He came and he brought all of his c**p with him. Our house became…he’s not a hoarder but he’s close, maybe.
“We had it in all the guest bedrooms and he had it boxed up and stuff. He’s like babe, I need more space in the closet and my heart just sinks. He’ll keep like shirts and stuff and I’ll go through it. You online shop, you go shopping. He loves to shop. He’s going to kill me. He has stuff come in and I’m like it’s not going out fast enough. If you bring stuff in and stuff needs to go out. Do we need this shirt? It has a giant stain on the sleeve. Are we going to wear this again? No, then do something with it. It’s still hanging up there.”
Carrie also admitted she has to “nag” her husband, but said they were learning to compromise.
