Remember the glee with which we told you about James Franco and Ashley Benson‘s rumored relationship? We’re glad that we stuck to the rumored part, even though we were dying for it to be true, because Franco himself has denied the supposed dating in a piece he wrote for the HuffPo. And reading it made us giggle and frown at the same time. How awesome would it have been if the two were actually together, hanging out at Washington Square Park and holding hands at the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride? We are inordinately disappointed that no dating on the down-low is going down. While Franco’s piece is long and winding and deals with everything he has been up to lately — watching On The Road (a role he auditioned for) and creating a collaborative film called Tar — but he does address all this Benson bizznezz in the end. “I also hear that I’ve been dating Selena Gomez, Kristen Stewart and Ashley Benson. Hot damn, am I a lucky guy,” he writes. The part that really cracks us up is when he adds, “I wish I had actually gotten closer than the 13th row of the theater in Toronto where Kristen gave her On the Road Q and A, but I didn’t; not only did I not talk to her, I didn’t even go to the SoHo house where I supposedly asked her out on a date. As for Gomez and Benson, those are Bieber’s girls and I wouldn’t dare tangle with the Biebs. I heard he wants to kick my ass. Yikes!” Damn straight, Franco. You don’t even mess with the Biebs.

Wow. It would be an understatement to say this is a bit of a departure for Victoria Beckham. Harper’s Bazaar, China has really outdone themselves with this May cover of Posh. Or shall we just call her the new Ginger Spice considering she’s morphed into a redhead for this. Everything is so OTT with the manga warrior princess vibe, from the feathered eyebrows to the gilded eyes and those huge metallic earrings. We’re used to seeing Vicky B looking perfectly put together, and while this is without fault, it is totally a departure from her regular style.
We’d also like to say that the magazine has really outdone itself with its global editions since they put Renee Zellweger on the May cover of Harper’s Bazaar, Russia (see below). It’s a completely different look from Vicky B’s cover, but no less glamorous.
She’s been M.I.A for some time now, and this cover is a great way to crack the radar again. We dig the 1920′s bejewelled cap and the soft waves. They’ve got the makeup spot on as well, and quite frankly, this is the best Ms. Zellweger has looked in a long time. We’re having trouble deciding which cover we like best, so maybe you can help us out? Do you prefer Victoria’s Chinese cover or Renee’s Russian version?

This family is getting it in droves. First, Daniel Craig blasted the Kardashians in GQ’s January 2012 edition and now it’s Jonah Hill‘s turn in the HuffPo. When asked if he was actually upset by Kim Kardashian‘s divorce, the actor went on a bit of a rant. He replied with, “… The fact that the Kardashians could be more popular than a show like Mad Men is disgusting. It’s a super disgusting part of our culture, but I still find it funny to make a joke about it. Whenever I say I like reality TV, people write about it like they’re in shock. I can’t even understand it, so I watch it…” He was responding to the fact that he sarcastically told MTV, “I feel duped a little bit because I was all connected with the wedding. I watched the two-hour special. I was with them on that journey.”
So there you have it. You can now officially add Jonah to the long list of people who aren’t down with the Kardashians.
