While you’ve been saving every extra dime to see all nine of this year’s Best Picture nominees, VH1′s Big Morning Buzz Live host Carrie Keagan has been making thoughtful commentary around the latest crop of Oscar hopefuls all winter long. Yes, there’s been trivia and chatter about the stinkers (ahem, Razzie nominees), but when it comes to Sunday’s real awards, Carrie has done the nearly impossible: predicted the big winners for the 2013.

For Carrie, Steven Spielberg‘s Lincoln, a historical drama with a golden pedigree, cannot and will not be beat. “I do believe that Tommy Lee Jones is going to be sweeping the award season this year,” she explains, failing to mention the role an important wig had in the veteran actor’s impressive performance. And while she believes Mrs. Mary Todd Lincoln a.k.a. Sally Field should win Best Supporting Actress, award season momentum is not in her favor thanks to someone else’s omnipresent smile. “It was a killer performance, she was fantastic, I just don’t think anybody wants to hear another speech from her,” she says of Anne Hathaway‘s expected win for Les Misérables.

Check out Carrie’s official picks below, and see how her choices stack up with those of your own come Sunday night.

How To Lower Valentine’s Day Present Standards Like Brad Pitt

ce66bradAngelina valentines How To Lower Valentine’s Day Present Standards Like Brad Pitt

Picture this. You’re Brad Pitt. Your fiance is Angelina Jolie. It’s Valentine’s Day. The gift game is wide open. Because when you’re Brad and Angie, it means that you can get anything you want, whenever you want it so the present better be good. It better be great. It better be a private plane. Or Angelina’s likeness made out of gold and diamonds. Or a country. An island? No pressure, Brad. By that we mean, suit up, bro. Because Angelina’s already bought him a helicopter, a waterfall and a 200-year-old tree.

So what did Brad buy Angelina for Valentine’s day?

A packet of ‘Eat Whatever’ mints. Explains a source, “It is sort of a joke — and not. He always teases her that she has bad breath.” But, never fear, the source adds, “It’s a joke gift . . . he’ll also get her something more serious.” Somehow, we don’t think she’s very amused.

Kate Upton: ‘Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Shoot Was Hard’

Posted by Adam

62a0kate upton 300 Kate Upton: ‘Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Shoot Was Hard’KATE Upton admits her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover was the “hardest shoot” she has ever done — because she was so cold.

Upton says she hating the freezing cold temperatures in the Antarctica.

“It was definitely the hardest shoot I’ve ever done,” Upton, 20, told People magazine.

“The best as well — Antarctica is one of the most beautiful place I’ve ever been to. But I’m from Florida, so it was pretty painful.”

The shot earned Upton her second consecutive SI cover, a distinction not seen since Tyra Banks covered back-to-back issues in 1996 and 1997.

“Everything about the picture is perfect,” said Swimsuit Issue editor MJ Day.

“The light, the background, the suit. It’s different from what we’ve done in past years, and it was an exciting moment for us to have those photos work out.

“It was difficult. First of all, it’s cold, even though we were there in summer. The windchill was sub-zero – the elements are really working against you.” As the crew dealt with a whole host issues – batteries dying in the cold, crazy weather rolling in and out – Upton was a total pro, Day says. “She never complained. She’d just say, ‘Okay, let’s go do it again.’”

Day says this shoot was three years in the making — Upton was the only model taken to the faraway locale.

“I knew that if I needed to bury someone in clothing, I needed her physique and curves to come through,” Day explains. “So to bring her was obvious: I knew I could put a one-piece on her and she wouldn’t look flat, she’d still look voluptuous and healthy and shapely and sexy.”

“It was an accomplishment just to get through the shoot,” Kate says. “I didn’t even think about the possibility of being the cover until after I thawed out a bit! But now it’s like, wow – I actually went down there and was able to accomplish that. I’m part of history, and it’s a great feeling.”
