Guardians of the Galaxy star Zoe Saldana posted a cute photo with twins Cy and Bowie, 9 months, enjoying a homemade ‘pirate boat’ made of a cardboard box.
“Packing to fly back home from Vancouver- because my Star Trek shoot has ending- and it is amazing what an empty cardboard box, a broom stick and a whole lot of imagination can do to children. The boys are teething badly lately, so that means that the tantrum level is at it’s highest. Marco was so brilliant in making this “Pirate” Boat. The boys loved it. As soon as we put them in the box they went bananas! We took turns in dragging that thing everywhere….both boys in it :-0 We like to believe they appreciated the effort, and we appreciated their joy. #playtime #twins #sunday is #funda,” she Instagrammed the shot Sunday.
The actress’ husband, Italian artist Marco Perego-Saldana, also Instagrammed an image of their family fun.
“PirateBoatcardboard #magic #zoesaldana,” he wrote.
It was a star-studded afternoon in Los Angeles, Calif. on Sunday (September 29).
Some of our favorite celebrity families – such as Ian Ziering and his family, an expectant Gwen Stefani and her sons Kingston, 7, and Zuma, 5, and Sarah Michelle Gellar and her 4-year-old daughter Charlotte – attended the Disney Junior Live On Tour Pirate & Princess Adventure premiere at the Dolby Theatre.
Also in attendance was new mom-of-two Courtney Lopez, Constance Marie, an expectant Brooke Anderson, David Burtka and his daughter Harper, Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane and their daughter Billie, and Tori Spelling and her children, to name a few.
“DaddyScrubs bestowed the ‘Daddy of the Year 2013’ distinction on me, and I am very proud of it,” Ian shared.
“The title recognizes fathers who are very proactive in raising their kids,” the actor continued. “I read to my daughter, Mia, every night and we sing songs before bed. I am also the first one to get Mia out of bed in the morning, and I love making breakfast with her. I have taken all of the cues that I picked up from my own childhood with my father. I am very flattered for the distinction, but it’s really a compliment to my own dad. I am happy to follow in his footsteps.”
