Congratulations are in order for Eva Amurri Martino and Kyle Martino.
The Mother’s Day star, 31, and the 36 Hours host, 35, are expecting a son, she announced via her blog Happily Eva After. The new addition with join the couple’s daughter Marlowe, 20 months.
“It is with so much joy, crazy excitement, and immense gratitude that Kyle, Marlowe and I would like to announce we are expecting a new addition to our family this Fall! We feel so lucky to be celebrating this special gift,” the Undateable star wrote alongside photos of her daughter admiring her bare baby bump.
The Californication actress and the soccer commentator – who were wed in Charleston, South Carolina in October 2011 – welcomed Marlowe in August 2014.
“Kyle and I can’t wait to watch what a funny and loving Big Sister Marlowe will be, and we are cherishing our last months with her as the sole center of our Universe,” she continued. “**We are almost positive that scientifically it is possible for the Universe to shift and have two very cute and demanding centers (at least that’s what we’ve been told– don’t lie to us, Scientists!)”
The expectant mama went on to reveal her baby’s gender.
“Aaaaand, because we have no patience and don’t expect you to either, we would also like to tell you that we are expecting A BABY BOY!!!” she shared. “Our minds are all blown. A Boy! As sometimes happens after you have experience with only one child, I think I had convinced myself that my particular baby factory only produced children of the female variety. Well… turns out that the Universe was pushing for a little man to join our mix and we all are just so excited!”
The happy news comes eight months after the actress revealed that she suffered a miscarriage while pregnant with her second child. Last August, she wrote, “I am sharing in the hopes that we can be a light for people going through similar circumstances, and to remind myself and others that there is no shame in voicing our heartbreaks and allowing others to comfort us.”
