Drew Barrymore, Will Kopelman and dog Douglas
She may have been a nervous wreck
after baby Olive arrived this fall,
but the Drew Barrymore
could have rested easy because her dogs had everything under control.
“They’re so protective of her. They’re so sweet,” she tells PEOPE of her pups, Douglas and shepherd mix Oliver. “And Douglas, the little blonde one, just comes and licks [Olive's] head, and it’s just so goofy and silly and I always say, ‘Douglas, is this your baby?’ “
The first-time mom, 37, and her husband Will Kopelman were careful when it came to introducing their furbabies to the real baby.
“We brought her stuff home to them to sniff and play with,” she tells PEOPLE. “I put her with them right away. I was holding her and protective but there are all these wonderful studies that kids that grow up with dogs have better immunities because of the dander and the pollen. And it’s a proven fact that dogs just improve the quality of your life.”
In just a few months, Douglas has assumed the role of bodyguard over 10-week-old Olive, whom Barrymore calls “Super Baby” because she sleeps and eats so well.
“He’s literally sitting [and] looking out the window,” she says, “in, like, a guard dog position.”

Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale, Kingston, 6, and Zuma, 4, arrived at LAX to catch a flight out of Los Angeles, Calif. on Friday (December 21). Gwen stood out in her blue-framed sunglasses, red jacket and animal print scarf. Earlier in the day she and Gavin waited until Kingston finished school before heading for the airport.
Cute Zuma held onto his toy plane while riding in his stroller.
The No Doubt singer told Marie Claire, “My biggest accomplishment is my marriage so far. (Marriage) is something that I always wanted to do successfully. It was a dream of mine. (Our relationship) is better than it’s ever been, like we’re learning about each other all the time.
“Gavin’s an amazing dad and he works so hard… He balances me out. And he never stops liking me, which is awesome! It makes me feel happy that someone likes me as much as he does.”

A doting family man and massive movie star, actor Hugh Jackman opens up about both roles in a new interview with Parade.com. The Aussie star, who has kids Oscar and Ava with his wife Deborra Lee Furness, is already garnering plenty of Oscar buzz for his highly anticipated new film Les Miserables, which hits theaters on Christmas Day.
On his relationship with his wife: “I am the pragmatic, steady, sensible one. Deb is the hilarious, fun, sexy, crazy, impractical one. When it comes to the kids, I’m strict and she’s lenient. But deep down, we’re very similar. We get each other completely without ever having to speak, and we have pretty much since day one.”
On having a son and daughter: “I feel so lucky to have both a son and a daughter, because there’s a different relationship with each of them. Instinctively as a man, you know what your son has to go through. So I think you’re a little tougher…. With a daughter, this protective side comes out. When I come home, my daughter will run to the door and give me a big hug, and everything that’s happened that day just melts away.”
On his character in Les Miserables, Jean Valjean: “I’m not a loner at all. The one thing I relate to about Jean is that I’m probably a little hard on myself. Jean lives with this constant striving to be a better man, but he never feels he attains it, and I, too, strive all the time.”

Tori Spelling takes fans on a personal tour of her baby boy’s “retro-meets-modern” nursery in a video posted to her blog ToriSpelling.com, saying, “Out of four nurseries, I think this is my favorite one.”
Designed with the help of her good friends Bill Horn and Scout Masterson – aka The Guncles – the mom-of-four reveals that the inspiration for the gorgeous room started with one little giraffe that she found at an antique store.
Tori can’t help but gush about how Finn’s nursery, which features a mix of flea market finds and custom-made pieces, turned out!
“In this video you’ll see me say ‘AMAZING’ a gazillion times,” she writes. “I mean… seriously, I need to put my vocabulary in check. For all of you moms, after your babes are asleep you can watch this video with wine in hand and every time I say ‘AMAZING’ take a sip. #MomsDrinkingGame … (kinda joking, but not a bad idea!)”
