Kate Middleton, Queen Elizabeth at War Over Godparents

d472kate middleton Kate Middleton, Queen Elizabeth at War Over GodparentsKATE Middleton is at war with Prince William‘s Grandmother — Queen Elizabeth!

According to a new report, the pregnant beauty is furious that Lizzy baby has rubbished her choice of godparents.

Kate wants her sister Pippa Middleton and troubled younger brother James Middleton to be her baby’s religious sponsors.

“It’s the latest battle for William and Kate, and one that they very well could lose,” a source said.

“William is still very much under his grandmother’s thumb, and Kate’s incredibly frustrated because she feels powerless.

“On top of that, James is teetering on bankruptcy. He had to hit up his family for money to bail him out.

“Kate is heartbroken, and William changes the subject whenever she brings it up. It’s Kate’s first real taste of the queen’s iron fist, and she doesn’t like it.”

Leslie Mann & Paul Rudd Talk Parenting & ‘This Is 40′

The stars of This Is 40, the highly anticipated “sort-of-sequel” to Judd Apatow‘s Knocked Up, know the subject matter well. Both in their 40s and raising kids – Leslie Mann is mom to daughters Iris and Maude, Paul Rudd has kids Jack and Darby – they recently talked to BreezyMama.com about parenting and getting older.

On having more babies in their 40s: PR: “With this one, I think we’re probably done. My wife would say, ‘No, we’re done.’ We’ve talked about it. I always say, ‘Why? Why? It’s just another child for you to raise.’ I don’t know if the humor in that will come across in print, so just be careful when you all blog [laughs].”
LM: “I don’t know. It depends on the day. So, maybe if I’m feeling overwhelmed that day, it would sound like a terrible idea. But I’ve thought about it, ‘What if. Maybe it could be fun.’ I don’t know if I have the energy for it. It takes so much energy. Judd’s sister has a brand new baby and then a 4-year-old and an 8-year-old, and she’s alone – her husband is in Rome. And she’s 42. And it just seems like such a nightmare. She’s exhausted. And it’s just such hard work, so why would you do that to yourself if you could avoid it? I don’t know.”

On separating what happens on screen from what happens at home: LM: “Well, our girls are pretty smart. And after work, we’ll sit down and have dinner together and have creative conversations about all of this stuff and we talk about it in a different way. We understand that it isn’t Maude’s in on it and Iris is in on it. They’re both like just fantasizing about what they would like to do. Like for me, I sometimes fantasize about screaming at mothers at school but I would never do it. But we can have these conversations, these very imaginative conversations, about things we would like to do. They know that it isn’t mommy and daddy’s problems. It’s having fun with it and having fun with being emotional, and it’s all okay. All of these thoughts that we have are okay. It’s not bad to have thoughts of screaming at another mother at school.”

On being 40: LM: “I feel like I have lunches or get-togethers with my girlfriends who are the same age every once in a while, and sometimes those meetings are really hard, and we’re all crying, and we all hate our husbands, and we all want to run away, and we all dream about some better life. And then some days we get together, and we’re all really happy with our husbands and love our kids and are happy with everything. It’s literally like riding this wave. We’re just going with it.”

James Van Der Beek Exposes What It’s Like to Ride a Horse Bottomless

By Andrea Billups

11/14/2012 at 09:50 AM EST

The horse didn’t seem to mind, but for the actor, climbing aboard and posing naked was a bit awkward.

“I’m not going to lie. I’ve never ridden bareback on a horse, let alone without pants, so that was new,” James Van Der Beek – referring to Tuesday’s special Sexiest Man Alive episode of his ABC sitcom Don’t Trust the B–– in Apt. 23 – told PEOPLE at Tuesday’s GQ magazine’s 2012 Men of the Year Party, held at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont.

The episode, in which Van Der Beek ends up as PEOPLE’s sexy cover guy after a prank is pulled on the magazine staff by the character Chloe (Krysten Ritter), featured a photo layout of the actor wearing only a shirt as he rides a horse.

“One shower later, it all was good,” said the real Van Der Beek.

As the camera captured the moment, the actor’s wife Kimberly Van Der Beek watched the nearly naked shoot – and described it as “surreal.”

As for the photo subject himself, Van Der Beek, 35, said: “It was a lot of fun to do something that is tied to something so culturally relevant. “And just to … drag PEOPLE into our own demented world on the show, and have you guys be such great sports about it, was a lot of fun.”

So did his wife find it at all sexy, a nude ride on horseback? Not exactly, she said. She was more worried about his safety.

“I don’t how sexy it is when there’s, like, 30 people around,” said Kimberly. “You have to be careful about how you’re getting on that horse! I was more concerned.”

Cult Stars Alona Tal, Robert Knepper Lure Us Into Their Show

The appropriateness of promoting a show called Cult at Comic-Con, the headquarters of devoted followers of cult TV shows and movies, was not lost on the stars of the CW’s suspenseful midseason drama. “I can’t wait to hear the reaction from the crowd,” said Robert Knepper, who’d been there before during his Heroes days. And sure the audience there is always eager for a new complicated mystery to unravel. Indeed, the show’s complicated premise — the fanatical followers of a TV show about a dangerous cult are themselves falling victim to some kind of dangerous plot — seems tailor-made for this kind of crowd. They were also excited to see the return of cult-TV vets Knepper (who also starred in Oz), Alona Tal (Supernatural) and Matt Davis (The Vampire Diaries). But what about the rest of the world? Will we all be sucked in?

OK, sorry, we’re not even going to try to answer that in this space. Instead, we tackled another tricky subject with Knepper, who plays the cult leader on the show within the show, and Tal, who plays the show within the show’s escaped cult member-turned-detective: What draws people to cults themselves?

“My husband says this: Everybody wants to be invited to the party,” Tal told VH1. “Everybody wants to be a part of [something]. Everybody wants to be accepted and loved. That’s part of the security blanket that cults, I would assume, offer. You’re part of something so secure and supporting, it could be appealing.”

Knepper strangely brought up that blanket too. “If you’re in a cult, I would think it’s like being inside a nice down comforter, you know? You feel very warm, cozy and protected,” he reasoned. “You’re in a family. There are a lot of cults that disguise themselves around the world as religions. There are a lot of cults that describe themselves as fun-loving families. The word cult usually brings up a connotation of, uh-oh, someone’s going to be brainwashing me here, and we’re going to drink something called Kool-Aid and people are going to die. That’s all in this show.”

Thanks for the pitch, Robert!
