Suri Cruise had a blast at the park with some pals on Monday (September 3). Enjoying a fun Labor Day, the adorable 6-year-old was joined by her mother, actress Katie Holmes, in Brooklyn, New York.

Suri channelled Little Red Riding Hood while sporting mom’s red cardigan over her black and white summer dress.

Tomorrow, Suri is set to start school at Avenues, an exclusive $39,000-a-year private school in New York’s upmarket Chelsea neighbourhood. And some of the parents of the prestigious school have concerns about the ever-present paparazzi.

“I had two different parents call to tell me their children are beautiful young girls that look like Suri,” education consultant Dana Haddad told New York Post.

“The girls will all be in uniforms, and they’re worried their daughters will be mistaken for Suri by the paparazzi outside the school,” Haddad added.

Actress Katie Holmes was photographed with her 6-year-old daughter Suri in New York City on Tuesday (August 28). Accompanied by the bodyguard, the mother-daughter duo were seen at Chelsea Piers where Suri had gymnastics class.

A proud Katie watched from the sidelines while her gorgeous girl, dressed in a pink gymnastics suit, learned her bars skills.

Reportedly, Suri will be receiving a “sizable” trust fund at the age of 18 from her famous father, Katie’s ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Tom will be responsible for their daughter’s expenses, such as medical and dental care and tuition to the $40,000 a year private school Avenues, where Suri is scheduled to start first grade after Labor Day.

While this might seem like enough, a source says that during their divorce settlement Katie negotiated a large trust fund for Suri to access once she turns 18 years old.

“She just wanted to ensure that Suri would have financial security as she becomes an adult. It’s a sizable trust fund, but Suri won’t be able to fully legally claim it until she is in her 30s. Tom had no problem with the request and planned on doing it for Suri anyway.”

TOM Cruise is a generous dad.

The actor has apparently set up a “sizeable trust fund” for his and Katie Holmes‘ daughter Suri.

Cruise — who is giving his former spouse $400,000 per year in child support until six-year-old Suri turns 18 — has created the additional payment plan for his little girl upon the Dawson’s Creek actress’ request, although the youngster will be unable to fully legally claim the money until she’s in her 30s.

“Katie wanted the trust fund put in place for Suri so that their daughter will be able to tap into after she turns 18 years old,” a source said.

“Katie has absolutely no access to the money and didn’t want to. She just wanted to ensure that Suri would have financial security as she becomes an adult. It’s a sizable trust fund, but Suri won’t be able to fully legally claim it until she is in her 30s.

“Tom had no problem with the request and planned on doing it for Suri anyway.”

Dawson’s Creek alum Katie Holmes took her daughter Suri for a bike ride in New York City on Saturday (August 25). Decked out in a summer dress and pink helmet, the sporty 6-year-old enjoyed some one-on-one time with her mama in the West Village.

Suri is loving her new bike! Last weekend, we spotted the pretty pair out and about on a Manhattan bike path.

Recent reports state that Katie sought little financially from Tom Cruise in their quickie divorce.

As part of their divorce deal, the actress, 33, will receive $400,000 annually in child support payments from her ex-husband, which averages to approximately $33,333 a month, according to TMZ.

Over the next 12 years, Cruise will pay up $4.8 million until Suri reaches the age of 18. Due to the terms of their prenuptial agreement, Katie will not receive any spousal support.

Katie Holmes and Suri had a day of fun in New York City on Monday (August 20). After going to the Make Meaning Activity Center they went to a bakery for some sweet treats. Suri was seen covering her head while holding her doll but once inside the eatery she bundled her toy in a blanket while browsing the store with mom. Suri was all dressed in pink and red and even had mom carry her tutu on the tote bag.

The day before they were spotted grabbing a taxi to head to Alice’s Tea Cup. The pair had lunch with Katie’s publicist Leslie Sloane and her daughter. The foursome then went to catch a screening of The Odd Life Of Timothy Green at the Loews Lincoln Square theater.

Katie and Suri recently visited family in Toledo, Ohio. There were rumors reported that it was the first time Suri met her cousins. However an insider says that is false.

A source said, “Katie visited Ohio with Suri many times. To say Tom prevented anything is a gross lie. He not only didn’t prevent [Suri having a relationship with Holmes' family] but encouraged it and paid for it! The first several birthday parties Katie and Tom threw for Suri had the family and cousins come to town – all expenses were paid for by Tom.”
