Dancing with the Stars alum, Bristol Palin was looking white hot at the Candie’s Foundation 2011 benefit gala on Tuesday (May 3), flaunting a new figure and ‘do to match.

But what the 20-year-old abstinence ambassador was more interested in showing off was her son, Tripp‘s latest accomplishments.

“He’s talking and running around,” the proud mama said of her 2-year-old tot. “Right now he’s taking skating lessons, so that’s something fun that we get to go to. I love everything about him!”

While she’s enjoying motherhood, Bristol tells Us she’d prefer that her situation were a little different.

“There are a lot of things that I love about being a mom, but you know what? Being a teen mom is not ideal at all and I wish that I could have had Tripp when I was in a married relationship,” says Palin.

A staunch supporter of abstinence and teen pregnancy prevention, Bristol plans to share her ideals with her son, being completely candid about how difficult it was for her to raise him at such a young age.

“I’m going to let Tripp know how hard it was for me to be a teen parent and how not ideal it is,” she tells the magazine. “I know that he’ll learn.”

In her new book, Bossypants, Fey writes about Sarah Palin’s visit to SNL when the 30 Rock star was impersonating her.

Sarah apparently offered to have Bristol watch Tina’s daughter, Alice, while she made her Saturday Night Live appearance.

”I thanked her, saying Alice was too little to stay for the show,” said Fey.

“I can’t imagine Bristol would have been too psyched to do that anyway; it was her 18th birthday, she was in New York City, and I had made a vicious joke about her a week earlier. But I appreciated the mom-ness of Mrs. Palin’s offer.”

It was recently revealed that Bristol was paid $262,500 for advocating against teen pregnancy in 2009.

The Candie’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization that seeks to raise awareness of teen pregnancy and parenting issues, reported Bristol Palin’s earnings to the Internal Revenue Service.

“We know that Ms. Palin’s work has had a positive effect on creating awareness about teen pregnancy,” Ali Tyrangel, a spokeswoman for the foundation, said in a statement.

Tyrangel said an independent survey of 1,000 teens comparing Bristol Palin public-service announcements with those of another organization using non-famous teens found that the Palin spots were much more powerful and attention-getting.

“Bristol Palin has been a courageous and powerful partner to the Foundation as we attempt to discourage teen pregnancy,” she said.

Representatives for Candie’s and Bristol Palin could not immediately be reached for comment.

Bristol, then 18, was pregnant during the 2008 presidential campaign and her son was born in the month after the election. She and the boy’s father, Levi Johnston, had a much-publicized breakup.

According to tax documents, Bristol Palin was paid more than $260,500 by the Candie’s Foundation to serve as an advocate for teen pregnancy prevention in 2009.

And apparently, the 20-year-old daughter of former Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, and mom to 2-year-old son, Trigg, has been worth every penny!

“We know that Ms. Palin’s work has had a positive effect on creating awareness about teen pregnancy,” Ali Tyrangel, a spokesperson for the foundation said in a statement, noting that an independent survey of 1,000 teens found Bristol’s public-service announcements more effective and attention-grabbing than others.

Bristol Palin has been a courageous and powerful partner to the Foundation as we attempt to discourage teen pregnancy,” added Tyrangel.

Palin was pregnant at age 18 and gave birth to her son shortly after the 2008 Presidential election.

She and ex-boyfriend, Levi Johnston, had plans of marriage, but eventually ended their relationship with a very public split.

Bristol maintains primary physical custody of the couple’s child.

Bristol recently signed a book deal.

Publisher William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins, said the tome is an “intimate, behind-the-scenes look” at Bristol’s life.

The book will hit shelves later this year. The company declined to say how much the deal was worth.

“In [her book] Not Afraid of Life, Bristol gives readers an intimate behind-the-scenes look at her life for the first time, from growing up in Alaska to coming of age amid the media and political frenzy surrounding her mother’s political rise,” said the publisher in a statement.
