Kat Von D Swore off Kids Until Now…

Kat Von D, aka Katherine von Drachenberg, is expecting her first child and it’s a boy!

The famed tattoo artist shared the joyous news that she is soon to be a first-time mama with her husband Leafar Seyer on Tuesday via Instagram.

The 36-year-old Kat Von D Beauty founder shared a picture from an artistic photo shoot of she and her hubby. In the picture, the mama-to-be is cradling her already prominent baby bump an indication that she is well into her pregnancy. By her side is Seyer, 42.

Kat is wearing a gothic inspired gold floral brocade gown. Leafar who’s real name is Rafael Reyes, wearing a subdued black suit with coordinating black gloves and sunglasses.

Von D captioned the announcement, “It’s a boy,” (with a black heart naturally).

Seyer shared the same shot on his social media and revealed the couple has already chosen a name for their son, “When I thought I had it all. Life gifts me with the greatest of joys! We are pregnant and having a baby boy. I love you @thekatvond and I’m ready to be a father to our son Leafar. Thank you my love our family comes first!!!”

The name Leafar is Rafael’s stage name which is also his name spelled backward, a perfect way for his offspring to carry his legacy.

And the TV personality who once swore of kids has proven that the right kind of love can give any girl a change of heart. Von D spoke to Dr. Drew Pinsky back in 2012 and said with conviction, “No children for me.”

She went on to explain, “The funny thing is that I’ve known since I was 7 years old that I was never going to have kids. I always imagined myself as this worldly, traveling, gypsy lady. I love children, kids love me, but I think I’d make a really good buddy. I don’t know if I’d be a bad mom, but it’s not what I want. I don’t want to put my body through it.”

Happy Sabbath, from my beloved @prayers and me. 🖤

Seyer and Kat Von D married in February surprising her fans when she shared a picture from her big day of their matching wedding bands. Kat gushed, writing, “Today, I married my soul’s mate, my mind’s twin, my best friend: @prayers.” And the photo op revealed that the untraditional Kat stayed true to herself opting for a black wedding dress for a big day.

Congrats Guys! Now the question is when is Leafar allowed to get his first tattoo?
