THANDIE Newton wishes she had freckles.
The 39-year-old actress admits she was so keen for the pigmentation markings she even considered having them put on to her face temporarily.
“I wish I had freckles –- I once considered having temporary henna freckles,” she said.
“I do have the odd beauty spot and these are often airbrushed out in pictures, which annoys the hell out of me.”
The Crash actress believes people should make the most of any unusual features they have and embrace their imperfections.
“I love odd-colored eyes, wonky teeth, something slightly off about a face – they are the things that make us unique and beautiful,” she said.
However she admits it took her time to accept herself because when she was younger there were so few black women on British television.
“When I was growing up, the only woman on TV who looked like me was the newsreader Moira Stewart,” she said.
“Then Sir Michael Caine married his beautiful wife Shakira, and the model Iman became famous – they were the women I identified with.
“But there weren’t many women of color in the public eye.”

Sarah Jessica Parker: Time With The Twins
Sarah Jessica Parker – bundled up for a cold winter day – was seen picking up her two-year-old twins Loretta and Tabitha at school in New York City on Friday (January 20). The Sex And The City star brought a friend along to help with carrying the girls – they’re growing up so fast!
And speaking of SATC – all you Carrie Bradshaw fans can start celebrating. There’s now official word on another installment of the wildly popular series.
The Daily Mail is reporting that a SATC prequel – based on author Candace Bushnell’s novel the Carrie Diaries – has been slated for the CW. The series covers Carrie’s teenage years in the 1980s to her early days as a writer in New York.
The show won’t feature any of the original actresses, and the only other original character – other than Carrie – to appear is Samantha Jones (formerly played by Kim Cattrall). A few names being tossed out for the title role include Blake Lively and Miley Cyrus, and reports say that Glee star Dianna Agron has also expressed interest.
And what does Sarah think about all this? “I think it’s wonderful that people want to hear Carrie’s side story, and I understand,” she said.

George Clooney: ‘I’ve Made Bad Choices’

GEORGE Clooney has made some “dumb” career choices.
The Descendants actor feels “lucky” that most of the work he did that he isn’t proud of was made early in his professional life because few people remember the “turkeys” he has appeared in.
“I’ve certainly made some turkeys along the way and made some dumb choices in my career, mostly early on,” he said.
“I’m one of the lucky ones who got to make a lot of mistakes very early on when no one was paying attention.
“I did a lot of terrible TV shows and was really terrible in them, but nobody really noticed.”
The 50-year-old star also admitted he is currently enjoying writing and directing more than acting because they feel more creative so wants to make the most of the opportunities he is given.
“I’ve had some success at writing and directing, and I like it. It’s infinitely more creative than just acting and I have things I want to say and do,” he added.
“I feel like I’ve been given these keys and the ability to drive the old man’s car and I know they’re going to take the keys away at some point, so I want to drive it as much as I possibly can.”
