THANDIE Newton wishes she had freckles.

The 39-year-old actress admits she was so keen for the pigmentation markings she even considered having them put on to her face temporarily.

“I wish I had freckles –- I once considered having temporary henna freckles,” she said.

“I do have the odd beauty spot and these are often airbrushed out in pictures, which annoys the hell out of me.”

The Crash actress believes people should make the most of any unusual features they have and embrace their imperfections.

“I love odd-colored eyes, wonky teeth, something slightly off about a face – they are the things that make us unique and beautiful,” she said.

However she admits it took her time to accept herself because when she was younger there were so few black women on British television.

“When I was growing up, the only woman on TV who looked like me was the newsreader Moira Stewart,” she said.

“Then Sir Michael Caine married his beautiful wife Shakira, and the model Iman became famous – they were the women I identified with.

“But there weren’t many women of color in the public eye.”

GEORGE Clooney has made some “dumb” career choices.

The Descendants actor feels “lucky” that most of the work he did that he isn’t proud of was made early in his professional life because few people remember the “turkeys” he has appeared in.

“I’ve certainly made some turkeys along the way and made some dumb choices in my career, mostly early on,” he said.

“I’m one of the lucky ones who got to make a lot of mistakes very early on when no one was paying attention.

“I did a lot of terrible TV shows and was really terrible in them, but nobody really noticed.”

The 50-year-old star also admitted he is currently enjoying writing and directing more than acting because they feel more creative so wants to make the most of the opportunities he is given.

“I’ve had some success at writing and directing, and I like it. It’s infinitely more creative than just acting and I have things I want to say and do,” he added.

“I feel like I’ve been given these keys and the ability to drive the old man’s car and I know they’re going to take the keys away at some point, so I want to drive it as much as I possibly can.”

KELLY Osbourne has fallen off the wagon!

The TV star and daughter of Ozzy Osbourne has been sober for around three years, but has now returned to her boozing ways, according to a report from RadarOnline.

Kelly, 27, got clean in February of 2009 after completing a rehab stint for drug and alcohol addiction.

“Kelly is definitely off the wagon again — at least when it comes to drinking,” a source said.

“I’ve seen her out drinking cocktails, beer and champagne numerous times, and I’ve seen her pretty unsteady on her feet too.”

Kelly was recently seen knocking back cocktails at The Art of Elysium event at Union Station and got so wasted that she almost fell over.

“Kelly was so wasted,” an eyewitness said.

“At one point she almost fell back and I had to catch her!

“When she gets drinking her hatred for Christina Aguilera really comes out. She spent the entire night talking about how much she hates Christina!”

RYAN Seacrest is pulling an Oprah!

The American Idol, E! News and radio host has announced he’s going to launch his very own cable network.

The star, 36, is teaming with Mark Cuban, concert promoter AEG and Hollywood talent agency Creative Artists Agency to revamp billionaire Cuban’s HDnet into AXS TV.

AXS TV — pronounced ‘access’ — will feature behind-the-scenes coverage of concerts, red carpets and awards shows.

“We’ve been diligently working with our partners AEG and CAA to strategize and explore how we could deliver quality live entertainment and lifestyle programming to a large audience,” Seacrest said in a statement Wednesday.

“HDNet is the perfect partner to help us translate our vision into a reality, giving us an instant reach into 35 million homes when we rebrand the channel and launch AXS TV.”

KATHERINE Heigl wants to return to Grey’s Anatomy.

Although the One For The Money star left the ABC show in a storm of controversy in 2010 after criticizing her character Izzie Stevens, the actress admitted she has already told showrunner Shonda Rhimes that she is keen to return to the medical drama, though she is unsure if it will be possible.

“I’ve told them I want to [return]. I don’t know … Being a showrunner and being a writer of a TV series like that is so complicated that I mean she’s got how many characters are there now?” Katherine said.

“There’s a lot and so she’s balancing about 40 different storylines, so I don’t know if it fits in to their sort of vision for this season or next or however many seasons it goes.”

The 33-year-old actress revealed the main reason she hopes to return is so she can discover Izzie’s fate as the surgeon was last seen leaving the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital after husband Alex ended their relationship.

“I really, really, really want to see where [Izzie] is. I just want to know what happened to her and where she went and what she’s doing now,” she said.

“My idea is that she actually like figures it out, and finds some success and does really well in a different hospital. She was always floundering you know, and so she was always one step behind the eight ball and I want to see that girl take some power back.”
