Kate Upton has challenged Katy Perry to a cleavage-off on the cover of the latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. We’ll leave it to you to decide on the winner, but one thing is for sure: It’s one of the hottest mag covers we’ve seen in a long time. Or at least since last year…
Sports Illustrated is a major world publication, and we’d argue that it’s primarily for the one issue that they forsake sport almost entirely in favor of bikinis. Maybe they should rethink the ol’ business plan and just change their name to “Bikinis Illustrated.” Of course it doesn’t hurt that they choose some of the most beautiful women on the planet to bare their flawless bods on some exotic beach local.
There have been Victoria’s Secret Angels like Heidi Klum and Irina Shayk, plus catwalk legends like Elle Macpherson and Tyra Banks. Even Queen Beyonce have graced the cover! How does Kate’s latest shoot stack up the covers of past years? Check out the gallery above and decide for yourself! Sound off in the comments section below.
Meanwhile, Kate Upton made “history” —we are using that term quite loosely, please bear with us— by becoming the first supermodel to score back-to-back covers of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue since the similarly busty Tyra Banks did so in 1996-97. Although her cover shoot took place in Antarctica, there is not a single goosebump visible on Upton’s well-tanned and toned body (which is the exact opposite reaction that teenage boys will have when they lay eyes on this cover). Upton’s assets have been dominating headlines and the fashion world since her SI Swimsuit appearance last February, and although she’s dressed significantly more skimpy than Miss Perry, the two are definitely throwbacks in the grand tradition of Elizabeth Taylor and Raquel Welch for how they flaunt their curves.
But, that said, this renaissance begs the question…
Move over, Rihanna. Step aside, Kate Upton. Because their brand of sexy just paled in comparison to what Beyonce is bringing to the table. Earlier today, this new GQcover of the singer that was supposed to be revealed as the magazine’s February lead leaked online and is in the process of going completely viral. What can we even say about this picture? Steamy doesn’t even begin to cover it. We’re just amazed at the Beyonce-body that seems to defy genetics, considering she had baby Blue Ivy just last year. Not a hint of mummy-tummy because that stomach is as washboard as it can get. This is also one of the sexiest photographs we’ve ever seen of Bey, who, as we all know, can werk it like it’s never been werked before, but never looks anywhere close to trashy. So to see miles of skin and a purposeful hint of under-boob is a bit jaw-dropping. Her face and that tumbling hair looks beautiful and she’s got curves that makes those leopard-print briefs look better than they actually are. But we want to know what your reaction to this shot is? Do you think she looks hot or is it too over-the-top and in-your-face? Let us know in the comments section!
Cate Blanchett enjoyed a day at the beach in Sydney, Australia with her sons Dashiell, 11, Roman, 8, and Ignatius, 4.
The 43-year-old actress wore a long dress and a hat while playing in the sea. The family have a home in the Hunters Hill suburb of Sydney. After the beach the group went shopping where Cate treated the kids to sweets.
In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar – she talked about her beauty routine and plugged the SK-II skincare brand.
She said, “It’s become increasingly more simple and uncomplicated. I spend less time thinking about my skin than I did 10 years ago. I guess because the resilience of my skin is proof to me that SKII works on protecting and preserving my skin. I have been using SKII for over 10 years now and the product range has expanded in that time.
“The essentials have not changed however. I use the Facial Treatment Essence and the LXP range morning and night with the eye cream, a whitening mask if I’ve been in the sun and am going out and Signs Eye Mask in the morning (I keep them in the refrigerator) if I’m a little sleep deprived.”
